Herbst LaZar Bell Inc Announces New RP Director for California office

Chicago, IL - Herbst LaZar Bell Inc (HLB), the international product design consulting firm, announced that Ami Gold has joined the firm as Director of Rapid Prototype (RP) Operations and Business Development for the California office. In this position, Mr. Gold's responsibility will be to enhance the level of services provided by HLB Prototype Services, and to increase production volume for better utilization and profitability from the prototyping equipment currently offered at HLB.
Mr. Gold brings to HLB more than 10 years of experience in RP, quality assurance, tooling and manufacturing. He is an expert in SLA (SL) and CNC technologies for aerospace, automotive, medical and consumer products; tooling design and casting applications. He has extensive experience in RP training curriculum development, technical applications support, CAD/CAM, CNC, solid modeling/reverse engineering, Solidworks, Mastercam, Mechanical Desktop and 3D parts production with CAD data manipulation.
Prior to joining HLB, Mr. Gold worked for 3D Systems Inc. in Valencia, CA, as the Manager of the Rapid Prototyping Technology & Education Center. He has also worked for Solid Concepts, Santa Clarita, CA., as a Rapid Prototyping Production Engineer.
Mr. Gold attended the College of the Canyons where he obtained a quality assurance certification and pursued classes in manufacturing technology. He also attended the Israel Institute of Technology, where he studied mechanical engineering, machine tools design, production design and manufacturing technology.
