Stilwell joins Herbst LaZar Bell As Medical Program Director

Chicago, IL Herbst LaZar Bell Inc (HLB), the internationally recognized product development firm, announced recently that Gary Stilwell, M.D., has joined the firm as Director Medical Program Development. In this new role, Dr. Stilwell will use his medical background to develop breakthrough medical products and spearhead new business opportunities in the healthcare industry for HLB.
Dr. Stilwell brings to HLB an extensive background in medicine, business and design. He holds an MD from Temple University School of Medicine and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School. Earning honors in design and digital media, he also received an MS with Distinction from the University of Edinburgh School of Architecture, specializing in 3D modeling, image manipulation, interactive gaming, e-commerce design, and motion graphic programming. For the past two years, he has been designing and producing interactive products while learning skills in physical computing, intelligent environments, and software architecture as an MA candidate at the Interaction Design Institute in Ivrea, Italy.
He pursued his medical internship at the Swedish Medical Center/Providence Medicine in Seattle, WA; and has worked at the Yale Department of Surgery; Doctors Without Borders in Kenya, Africa; and the University of Pennsylvania Sports Medicine program.
Prior to entering the medical field, Dr. Stilwell worked in the television and finance industries. He has held business management and production positions with MTV, Columbia Pictures, MGM Television; and an analyst position with Nomura Securities Company. Early in his career, he was awarded a Wharton Public Policy Fellowship and served as a U.S. Trade Representative, and a Japan Society Business Fellowship with the Fuji Xerox Co. Ltd.
