Mark Dziersk Nominated For 2004 World Technology Award
posted by hdittmer at 5:20 PM
Chicago, IL - The World Technology Network (WTN) announced recently that Mark Dziersk, Senior Vice President of Design at Herbst LaZar Bell Inc (HLB), has been selected as a nominee for the design category of this year's World Technology Awards, being held in association with Nasdaq, Microsoft, TIME and Science magazines.
Winners will be announced on October 8, 2004, at the World Technology Awards Gala ceremony at San Francisco City Hall at the conclusion of the two-day World Technology Summit. The World Technology Awards honor individuals and corporations from twenty technology-related sectors viewed by their peers as being the most innovative and doing the work of the greatest likely long-term significance. Award categories range from biotechnology, space and energy to ethics, design and entertainment.
The World Technology Awards program is not only an inspiring way to identify and honor the most innovative people and organizations in the technology world, but it is also a disciplined approach for the WTN membership to identify those leaders who will formally join them as part of the global community, commented James P. Clark, founder and Chairman of the World Technology Network. I wish Mr. Dziersk and each of the nominees continued success in their particular disciplines and am confident that their work will continue to help create our future and change our world.
Nominees for the 2004 World Technology Awards were identified based on an intensive, global process in which current WTN members (primarily winners and finalists of previous Awards cycles, who now number over 700, spread out over 54 countries) made their nominations in their particular field based on specific criteria.
Finalists and winners of the 2004 World Technology Awards will be revealed at the Awards Gala ceremony, with the various category winners and finalists being automatically enrolled into the World Technology Network membership. This yearÕs World Technology Awards ceremony will cap the 2004 World Technology Summit in San Francisco on October 7-8 at the historic Fairmont Hotel. For the first time, this yearÕs Summit will also include a Chief Technology Officers (CTO) Showcase, enabling a small selection of companies to discuss their work in detail with Summit delegates.
