Chicago, IL. - Herbst LaZar Bell (HLB), the internationally recognized product design consultancy, announced recently that David Jaggi has joined the company as Director of Electrical Engineering. In this new position, Mr. Jaggi is responsible for managing and overseeing all of the daily electrical engineering operations, including scheduling of work through the department, project management and technology development.

“David helps us with our ability to understand the specialized disciplines needed in developing electronic systems and meeting the rigorous regulatory requirements demanded by our medical client,” stated Howard Dittmer, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Product Development at HLB. “At the same time, he will be able to help our clients achieve their cost of goods requirements through a depth of experience in sourcing from low cost areas of the world.”

Mr. Jaggi has an extensive background and expertise spanning over 18 years in design and electrical engineering. Prior to HLB, he most recently worked for Metcom Associates as a Director and Manufacturers Representative where he was responsible for general business management as well as technical sales and application support to a wide range of companies. Before that, he was a Senior Systems Design Engineer with Futaba Corporation where he was responsible for the design and project management of custom display models. He also worked for Siemens Medical Systems as a Senior Design Engineer and a Research Scientist.

Mr. Jaggi received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University, and participated in his Senior Project at the City University of London. His education, along with his professional experience has helped him develop the firm technical background and sound business management skills necessary to lead and thrive in the industry.

“David's education and experience uniquely qualifies him for his role at HLB,” said Dittmer. “When you combine his experience developing electrical hardware and software for the medical device industry with his experience in far eastern sourcing, you have something very powerful.”
